After a typically frustrating inking experience I decided to try finishing a strip in pencils. I’m not sure this will work. The scan shows every smudge, and it’s hard to get that plain white border that blends with the web page.

When I was trying to draw in pencil and scanning stuff in I made up a program that would take out the random smudges.
(Very easy to do with a BMP, really you only need BW with pencil.)
Then I found out it was a filter in Imageenhance, and Gimp2.
I still like pencil but unlike you, I am lazy and uncreative.
(I don’t know where I got my copy of Imageenhance but suspect it was NASA.)
It does make it look a bit antiqued.
