Dr. Smythe Saves Lives: Page One of Two

Standing on a bridge is a thing scientists sometimes do, for science.

If that’s the Golden Gate, there’s been more deaths since my friend’s son jumped (and died) on May 8th, 2007. My friend has stepped outside herself to become active in trying to get a suicide barrier for the bridge.

It’s actually based on a sign that used to hang on the railing of a footbridge in Iowa City. A couple of years ago it was torn down, leaving only a bent corner. It probably went to decorate someone’s dorm room.

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s son.

Well, and knocking the person out is a way to keep them from jumping. I wish Henry had someone to do that for him.
